What prompted you to start your own business?
As the daughter of a naturopathic physician, I grew up understanding the importance of using quality natural products. What we ingest and what we use on our bodies affects our health long-term, and I learned this in seeing many of my dad's patients heal from terrible ailments after changing their diet and lifestyle. As an example: 10 years ago a patient showed up on my father's office door step with blue lips and a blue tongue. At first glance my dad knew it was a sign of liver failure. He began to ask her some questions. The first was, "What line of work are you in?" She replied, "I'm a hair stylist."

My father knew that the ammonia she was exposed to was causing a liver issue, and after testing, he confirmed it. He asked her if it was possible to find a new job. She replied that was not an option, "I own a salon."
